Electric Motor Technician

Experienced or Entry-level – WILLING TO TRAING THE RIGHT PERSON

Description:

As Electric Motor Technician, you will be responsible for motor disassembly, identifying parts for repair or replacement, and cleaning & preparing motors parts for assembly.  Experienced electrical motor technician will also assist in the diagnosis and repair of electric motor problems, identify motor components for repair or replacement, and final assembly.  Electric Motor Technician will be progressively trained in all phases of electric motor repair and remanufacturing.

We employ a team approach to our repair and remanufacturing process.  The right candidate will be a team player who is willing to perform any tasks assigned to expedite the motor rebuilding process and able to work in a typical motor rebuilding environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Disassemble Motors
  • Clean, and prepare motor components for assembly
  • Operate Sandblaster and other cleaning equipment
  • Lathe machining and undercutting
  • Test/Inspect motor components
  • Motor Assembly
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School or Equivalent Education.  Trade School a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude.  Prefer working knowledge of low voltage AC and DC Motors
  • Provide own basic hand tools (specialty tools and testing equipment is provided)
  • Ability to perform electrical tests (i.e., surge, hi-pot, polarity, resistance, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and able to stand/walk for extended periods
  • Must be willing to work overtime
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail

Compensation/Schedule:

  • $15-$19, depending on experience
  • M-F, 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Occasional Overtime

Electric Motor Winder

Description:

Electric Motor Winder will rewind AC motors/generators and DC armatures.  Our market is low voltage DC motors up to 180 volts and low voltage single and three phase AC motors up to 400hp. Duties include stripping, taking data, insulating, making and installing coils, and making connections.  Electric Motor winder will occasionally help in other areas of disassembly, prep, and assembly as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Rewinding Electric Motors Experience. Minimum: 2 years’ experience, 4+ years’ experience preferred
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Provide own basic hand tools (testing equipment is provided)
  • Ability to read, understand, and create winding wiring diagrams
  • Ability to perform electrical tests (i.e., surge, hi-pot, polarity, resistance, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and able to stand/walk for extended periods
  • Must be willing to work overtime
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail

Compensation/Schedule:

  • $21 – $25, depending on experience
  • M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Occasional Overtime
